• Mixing Systems, Inc. jet aerators were chosen because the system gives consistent 98% BOD removal and requires very little maintenance.
• Jet aerators are suitable for the plant's cold climates. Ambient temperature during winter is -40° to 32° F (-40° to 0° C)

First Installation

• Three oxidation ditches
• Total flow - 9 MGD (34,000 M³)
• Total design BOD₅ load of 45,000 lb/day (20,000 kg/day)
• 60 ft (18 M) wide oval
• 20 ft (6 M) deep
• Volume each tank - 1.5 million gallons (5,700 M³)
• Two directional mix jet aerators per tank
• In operation since 1989

Second Installation

• One oxidation ditch
• 200 ft x 100 ft (76 M x 30 M)
• 25 ft (7.6 M) deep
• Volume - 4 million gallons (15,000 M³)
• Four directional mix jet aerators per tank
• In operation since 1995
